Central Lyon Fire requires construction plan review and permitting for:
- All commerical construction projects
- Residential construction greater than 200 square feet
- Fire alarm systems
- Fire sprinkler systems
- CO2 monitoring systems

Along with the 2024 International Codes, Central Lyon enforces the most current versions of the NFPA Codes and Standards.
To obtain required Knox Equipment;
Knox hardware is required for Fire District Access to the property and the building. Depending upon gates and fencing, access will be required to all areas as well as the building. In the form of Knox gate actuators (electronic), Knox padlocks and Knox Boxes for buildings. All keys shall be mastered to prevent multiple keys for access. To obtain Knox products for Fire District access to your building or property; Please visit www.knoxbox.com, using the identifier for our Fire District, Central Lyon Co FPD, please select the products necessary for your project. A message will then be sent to the district for approval of the products, once approved you will receive notification, then you can purchase. Once your products arrive and are installed please notify us and we will make an appointment to place a key as is appropriate depending upon your required products.
